Wendy's comes to Jaya ONE PJ!
I have to say... I have never been a big fan of Wendy's ... but..
I give the staff props for friendliness and their charming disposition.. Everything CAN!
Can I have hot and spicy as well as original chicken in the SAME order ?

Anyway, the reason why Wendy's fails to knock my socks off is because, if we are talking burger for burger,
Wendy's burger just LACKS a distinctive taste.
Like Burger King, has that killer Char-grilled taste. Signature.
Mac Donald's (though sometimes disgusting when cold) - that first bite into a piping hot BigMac, has that stinky, cheesy, secret saucy smell, that any kid can tell apart from any other burger, blind folded. Signature.
So, where does Wendy fit in/rank in my fast-food Burger hall of fame... ?
A far third..
But that is just my opinion:D

there's something about McD's buns that made them aptly soft. and that gherkins/sour cream combo for the filet-o-fish...perfect.

ReplyDeleteone of the major grouch is the dry burger buns, eg. KFC, A&W etc.
ReplyDeleteWendy's a bit different, but still not anywhere near McD's standard.
Carl's JR burgers are hits and misses. some good, some bad. only McD churns out the best.
Burger King's Whopper and French Chicken are good choices, others not really.
i don't really like burger^^

ya, i wrote an essay virtually about how there used to be a wendy's in front of hock lee's when i was a young man of 21, and started work. i used to love their shrimp burger, so when i saw wendy's in jogja, i had to have it, but pttttttttooooooooi, it was awful!!! i guess some memories of our youth arent quite the same these days....

the korean bbq place opposite that sounds like a fast fd joint but in fact no has very decent chicken meal..try it out
