Buddy Restaurant Sea Park

DSC01663
When is a nasi lemak
NOT
a nasi lemak...?

DSC01654
When it is a RM2.00 VEGETARIAN nasi lemak!

Smells like curry chicken but it is curry bean curd. Smells like sambal ikan bilis but it is sambal BEAN CURD!

(Smells like sotong but it is... yea.. bean curd la.. :P)

Anyway, what is probably the more astounding thing about this place is that the Chap Fan vegetarian here is all priced at RM2.00 (3 dishes one rice). Also the Chicken rice at RM2.00, the Nasi lemak at RM2.00

Isn't that amazingly affordable? Please note also that there was santan in the rice.. so it was not bad vegetarian nasi lemak really ;)

Fried mee and loh she fun with side dishes of wantan, charsiew and bitter gourd at RM3.00

Price wise, it was really a steal. However, I found the food just too salty overall. Maybe I really should have had rice instead of noodle to counter the salty side dishes.
The plus point was the people at this restaurant asked us what we thought of the food and welcomed our feedback.

Also available is Pak Kor Yee Mai & Leong Char (Self service form the payment counter).
RM1 water with free refills (Self service from the dispenser) and finally, put away your plates at the bin area once you are finished.

RM2 for rice. but RM1 for water. ahem ... though free refill though.
how many glasses of water you can down leh?

i've been conned before by a kopitiam selling 'nasi lemak', but instead got white rice with the usual condiments!

when i queried, guess what's their answer? "oh, we serve healthy food, so we dont serve the santan rice" ..... *_*

Very very cheap! Was the nasi lemak good then?? Sambal sedap? Hmm...vegetarian also means no garlic right? Tot that is essential in making curry and sambal.

but guffaw at the soup kitchen remark. of course that came from the lady who dines at all the finest establishments in town la. does she know that roti canai still costs less than RM1 ...

that was really cheap but i'm not surprised cos this kinda shop that sell cheap and with some self-service work is usually owned by Buddhists. it's something that they want to give back to the society.

btw there's a similar shop near our place but they ain't cheap
