Fook Kee at Kepong
The good Hawkers of Kepong, Aman Puri, take their Hawker-ing very seriously.
You see that blue makeshift canopy swaying in the wind? Its bleached color and tattered corners still provide excellent shade for the many customers who flock here for lunch, especially on the weekends.

Fook Kee has a multitude of Chinese Hawker cuisine for you to choose from and for me, it gets really confusing picking out something good to eat. I only have ONE stomach after all and I don't want to waste it on the wrong plate of lard.
So..
So..
A quick power-walkabout (now u know why I train so hard.. ahem) and I soon decided on Szechuan noodles.
Wait a minute.. It's not Szechuan Noodle la.. it's Sez Chun Noodle!
Anyway, from the word go, I liked the look of the starting materials. The Noodle looked
long, thick, sticky and heavy with the promise of latent carbo.
The Deep Fried Pork chunks where still sizzling with heat and I could smell the pungent, heady aroma of its succulent juices from within its browned folds.
And then I saw the fresh plump chinese herbs and knew that this hawker meant business.
"Do you also want one?" I asked Cumi.
He said.. Urrrrhh (yes, in lazy husband slang)
Fine. I got him the dry version because I wanted the soup.

The soup noodle was great! The dry one was OK as well but of course the small herbal soup on the side was not enough.
All I can say is ... GO EAT THIS!
For just RM4.50, there is soooooo much meat, herbs, noodle, flavour.. that it's really mind boggling. No need for MSG - all the sweetness comes from the food. It's been a month since we ate there. I really hope that in this time, they have not compromised or cut back on their ingredients. In a time where sub-standard food is rearing its ugly head more and more, Sez Chun Noodle is a martyr, a hero, a STAR. Please go try it.

One thing about the Fook Kee Empire.. it's everywhere.
We walk down the road we see Fook Kee..
Futher along... Fook Kee,
Turn the corner... Fook Kee!
We this sign on the corner of the road. "Not allowed to sell food in parking area".
Who cares?! Not him .. obviously.
Nor him..:P
We buy kacang puteh from the Kacang puteh man because it's so cheap (RM3 for 2 packets or something like that) and some Malay Yau Char Kwai. Both good.
Finally we stop for dessert at one of the many dessert joints along that same stretch ..
I scratch my head because I am unfamiliar with the taste of this particular jello.
"Oh, this is jello without Vodka", announces Cumi.
No wonder I didn't recognise it.
