Ngau Kee Beef Ball Noodle Tengkat Tong Shin

Immediately after LA, even before i had time to drop my bags at home, we headed straight for Beef Ball noodles!

My roadside stall craving was insatiable... i could not (jet lag) ... and would not sleep (hungry) ... till my appetite for BBN had been appeased...

So here we are.... at my favourite beef ball noodle stall in Tengkat Tong Shin.
Ngau Kee Beef ball noodle was thriving with business even though it was pretty late that night...

I remember someone once told me that they preferred Soong Kee Beef Ball coffee shop down by Jln HS Lee... Ya, well, we find that whilst the soup is sweet, it lacks that thick beef stock aroma.

Unlike Ngau Kee!

No doubt not as clean as Soong Kee, but if your stomach is strong, and you have poor night vision (hahaha), then this place is by far , the better of the two..

The noodle is cooked .. needless to say, al dente... chewy chewy baby....

The beef mix soup is bubbling hot... (balls and innards... hahahaha.. I feel like Hecate.. one of the 3 witches of MacBeth... )

Double, double toil and trouble;Fire burn, and cauldron bubble !!!

And the final touches to the boiling cauldron... smoking hot chilli :):)

The meal was satisfying.. and I gladly went home to bed...

before my head hit the pillow, I was already asleep...

... but did not dream of boiling cauldrons...

Food : 7/10

Price : low

MSG level : moderate

Cleanliness : leaves much to be desired

"Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,

Witches' mummy, maw and gulf

Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,

Root of hemlock digg'd i' the dark,

Liver of blaspheming Jew,

Gall of goat, and slips of yew

Silver'd in the moon's eclipse,

Nose of Turk and Tartar's lips,

Finger of birth-strangled babe

Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,

Make the gruel thick and slab:

Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,

For the ingredients of our cauldron"

Double, double toil and trouble;Fire burn and cauldron bubble!!! "
