My cheez runneth over...
Apparently they are selling these skinny man jeans at Top Shop. That's what my colleague says.. He wants to go buy a pair so that he can look like Al Pacino.
I pause for a minute, and try not to say anything rude, or burst out laughing. Then I say, fine, you go try on your Al Pacino look... I'll go wait for you at lunch.
(Little does he know that it takes a hell of a lot more than just a pair of skinny jeans to get close to looking like Pacino... ya think?! muahahahah..., ok la.. how cruel :D)
I love California Pizza! Old place... but still GOOD!
One of the salads that I cannot resist here at California Pizza is the Mediterranean. I don’t know if it’s the amazing mix of chilled salad of cucumbers, red onions, fresh tomatoes and Greek olives tossed with crisp Romaine leaves and lemon-herb vinaigrette… or the silky smooth (like the Zohan.. haha) but rich and nutty flavour of the hummus... which makes this the most palatable starter to the meal.
Topped with Feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and served with pita bread I hungrily devour everything on my plate! You can even ask for additional grilled rosemary chicken breast, grilled shrimp, or sautéed salmon. I opted for shrimp, which was crunchy and brought a sweet, fleshy, full-bodied taste to the dish. This means you add on another RM13.00 to the plate of salad (RM14.50). Hefty. But worth it.
Of all the pizzas my personal favourite is of the Neapolitan sort! These are the thin crust pizzas they serve at California Pizza… A combination of grilled spicy Italian sausage and sweet Italian sausage with sautéed wild mushrooms… not to mention oozing with a generous amount of Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, gets me drooling every time! This plus the topping of fresh herbs makes this one of the yummiest pizzas in town:) The price , RM32.00 for a huge-ass pizza, chocked full with the good stuff .
(can you see in the picture how the meat and mushrooms are overflowing?!)
My only complaint is not enough tomato base... but what to do.. you can't win em all...
Finally, no meal is complete without dessert. Made from Granny Smith apples, slow-baked with a crispy brown sugar and butter topping… and a MASSIVE dollop of ice-cream with caramel sauce… this is my favourite dessert here…
